There are differences in our Economy Class service, depending on whether you're on a domestic New Zealand flight, Tasman or Pacific Island1 flight or long-haul international flight.
Long-haul Economy
Our current Pacific Economy cabins are specially designed to make long-haul international travel a more enjoyable experience.
Our friendly, professional crew will make sure you're comfortable throughout your journey. You'll appreciate the generous personal space and ergonomically designed seats.
The style of food and beverage is modern and innovative, with an emphasis on New Zealand flavours. For those with special dietary needs, a full range of 22 special meal options is also available, so long as we are advised of your specific request at least 24 hours before departure. We also offer a wide selection of complimentary beverages including quality New Zealand and Australian wines to accompany your meal.
In Pacific Economy you have a wide range of on-demand entertainment options at your seat. Your very own 8.4" screen and in-seat remote ensure you control the action, choosing what you watch and when. Find out more about our new on-demand in-flight entertainment.
Need a little distraction for the kids? Our specially designed kids packs feature New Zealand native species, there's Ted Tuatara, Kerry Kiwi and Phizz Fantail. Packed with fun these packs will keep the kids entertained for hours.

Tasman and Pacific
You will enjoy a contemporary meal service, complimentary drinks and great in-flight entertainment options on our shorter length international flights between New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands. Please note that on flights between New Zealand and Perth, Tahiti, Hawaii and New Caledonia, our long-haul Pacific Class service is offered.
A light, cafe-style meal will be served. For those requiring a special meal option, a dairy-free vegetarian choice may be requested at the time you make your booking. You are also welcome to bring onboard pre-packed snacks or drinks. However for safety reasons, hot food and hot drinks may not be brought onboard. Flight Attendants are unable to heat, refrigerate or add water to food customers may take on board.
Children's meals and infant supplies are not available on Tasman and Pacific Island flights. If you would like to bring your own baby food, that's no problem. Flight Attendants will be happy to prepare, heat and wash baby bottles whenever needed.
For your entertainment, the latest blockbuster movies, sport and comedy shows play on the main screen throughout your flight. Or tune into our wide choice of audio channels or read the complimentary Air New Zealand in-flight magazine.

Domestic New Zealand Flights
Air New Zealand offers a pleasant, value for money service on domestic New Zealand flights, with the world's best views of New Zealand's diverse landscapes below.
During your flight you will be offered complimentary snacks and refreshments appropriate to the time of day.
All weekday 737 and A320* flights between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch Dunedin and Queenstown in the mornings before 9am, and evenings between 5pm and 8pm are KoruHour flights. Start the day with great tasting Gravity plunger coffee, OJ, muesli or a muffin and a complimentary newspaper. For evening flights wine, beer and L&P are added to the beverage service and are served with a selection of Kapiti cheese, crackers and grapes.^

During the day, after 8pm, and all weekend, a selection of great tasting snacks are being introduced - healthy dried fruit, savoury Cassava chips and sweet NZ lollies as well as tea, coffee and water.#
For reading material, you will find a copy of the Air New Zealand magazine, Kia Ora, in the seat pocket in front of you. You are welcome to take this with you at the end of the flight.
* Complimentary alcohol service will be available on domestic A320 services during the evening KoruHour once liquor licensing requirements are completed.
^ On flights under 45 minutes and in inclement weather there is no tea and coffee due to serving time restrictions. This also applies to the Kapiti cheese and fruit plate on evening KoruHour services.
